In the electronic component industry, independent distributors typically tolerate a return rate of up to 5 percent. That translates into 5 out of every 100 devices they send out to their customers coming back to their offices, because they are, generally, incorrect or substandard. At Lintech Components, we hold ourselves to a higher standard. Our minimally acceptable tolerance is 3 percent but we have been well under that threshold, averaging a less than one percent, as long as we’ve been tracking this data. In fact, Lintech’s return rate was just over 0.4 percent over the first five months of 2014!

These exceptionally low rates can be attributed to three key factors:  the product expertise of our account representatives, our rigorous incoming and outgoing inspection process, and our scrubbed authorized vendor list.

By fully understanding each customer’s unique requirements, we can ensure that the part ordered is exactly what the customer needs. Of course, if our product is substandard then shipping the right part number will still result in a return. But that’s not an issue you have to worry about when buying with Lintech.

Lintech ensures the quality of the products we stock and sell, in part, via a strict supplier chain management system. Our supplier selection process ensures that only the most reputable companies make it onto our AVL. To be extra safe, it is our policy not to purchase from Asia-based vendors. There are plenty of trustworthy sources for electronic components out there so there’s simply no sense in sourcing from areas where counterfeit components may originate.

Yet Lintech goes one, crucial step further to help keep substandard product from slipping through the cracks. Our ICE 3000-certified inspectors perform incoming and outgoing inspections to IDEA 1010 standards. This includes a comprehensive series of visual, dimensional and marking permanency observations and tests.  

Month after month, year after year, Lintech continually measures return rates averaging under one percent and as low as 0.02 percent.
