Lintech Components Achieves SAE AS5553 Supplier Compliance
Ronkonkoma, New York - March 16, 2010 - Lintech Components today announced that it successfully meets the requirements of an SAE AS5553 compliant supplier.
Non-authentic components has become a significant challenge for electronic manufacturers directly impacting NASA and the U.S. Department of Defense. To combat the rising problem of counterfeit components, the SAE standard, AS5553 - Counterfeit Electronic parts; Avoidance, Detection, Mitigation and Disposition was developed in 2009. It helps standardize requirements, practices and methods for counterfeit parts risk mitigation.
